Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Aterra Digital, a sole proprietorship registered in Singapore (UEN 53529219L) ("Aterra Digital", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal data when you visit www.aterradigital.com (the "Website"), contact us, or use our services. We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA").

1. Personal data we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our enquiry form, message us on WhatsApp, email us or contact us on social media, we may collect:

  • First and last name

  • Business or company name

  • Phone number and country

  • Email address

  • Services you're interested in, your monthly marketing budget, and details you share about your business or challenges

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, we and our service providers collect technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time spent, the page that referred you, and approximate location. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).

Information from clients. When we provide services, we may access personal data held in your social media, advertising or analytics accounts (for example, customer lists or audience data). We handle this only on your instructions and as your data intermediary.

2. How we use your personal data

We use your personal data to:

  1. Respond to your enquiry and prepare proposals, quotes or free audits

  2. Provide, manage and report on the services you engage us for

  3. Communicate with you about your project, invoices and service updates

  4. Understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it

  5. Measure and improve our own advertising, including showing our ads to people who visited the Website (remarketing)

  6. Send you marketing updates, only where you have agreed to receive them

  7. Meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations

3. Consent

By submitting your details through the Website or contacting us, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal data for the purposes above. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer (section 10). If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue responding to your enquiry or providing our services.

4. Marketing messages

We will only send you marketing by email, WhatsApp or SMS if you've agreed to it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by replying "STOP". We do not send marketing messages to Singapore telephone numbers registered with the Do Not Call Registry unless you have given clear consent.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising tools

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies keep the site working. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

  • Squarespace (Squarespace, Inc.): hosts the Website and processes enquiry form submissions

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): measures visits, pages viewed, traffic sources and form submissions

  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.): measures visits and enquiries from our Facebook and Instagram ads, and lets us show ads to people who visited the Website

  • Google reCAPTCHA (Google LLC): protects our forms from spam and abuse

Advanced matching. When you submit our enquiry form, the Meta Pixel may send your email address and phone number to Meta in hashed (scrambled) form. Meta uses this to match the visit to a Facebook or Instagram account, so we can measure which ads lead to enquiries. Meta does not receive the readable email or phone number from this process.

You can opt out of personalised ads through your Facebook ad preferences and Google Ads settings, and block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

6. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, analytics, advertising platforms, email, cloud storage, scheduling and accounting tools, under terms that require them to protect it

  • Freelancers or contractors working on your project, who are bound by confidentiality

  • Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed

  • Authorities, where required by law

7. Transfers outside Singapore

Some of our service providers, including Squarespace, Google and Meta, store or process data outside Singapore, for example in the United States. When we transfer personal data overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, such as relying on the providers' contractual commitments and data protection terms.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law:

  • Enquiries that don't become projects: up to [24] months after our last contact, then deleted

  • Client records, contracts and invoices: up to [5] years after the engagement ends, for accounting and legal purposes

  • Analytics and advertising data: according to the retention settings of Google and Meta, which we set to [14] months where the tool allows

9. How we protect your data

We use reasonable security measures to protect personal data, including access limited to people who need it, two-factor authentication on our business accounts, and reputable service providers with their own security safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a data breach where the PDPA requires it.

10. Your rights and how to contact us

Under the PDPA, you can ask us to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year

  • Correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete

  • Withdraw consent to our collection, use or disclosure of your personal data
